The SF State Academic Senate requires the assessment of academic programs and General Education on a regular basis. Academic programs submit annual assessment reports for academic programs to Academic Planning. Academic program review takes place approximately every seven to ten years and is a full evaluation of programs since the prior program review. The Baccalaureate Requirements Commitee, along with the Lower Division Certification Committee and the Upper Division Certification Committee, oversees assessment and recertification of General Education Courses on a periodic basis.
